Experience
Do I need experience to enroll in bartending school?
No prior experience is required to enroll in the DrinkMaster Professional Bartending Course. Most of our 100,000+ graduates started with no bartending background. The course teaches all skills from the ground up, including built, stirred, and shaken cocktails, multi-liquor drinks, speed bartending, and bar operations.
Course Length
How long is the bartending course at DrinkMaster?
The DrinkMaster Professional Bartending Course is 20 hours of hands-on instruction. Students can choose a one-week weekday intensive (Monday through Friday, 10am to 2pm) or a two-weekend option (Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 3pm, across two consecutive weekends). With the optional TiPS Alcohol Certification add-on, total instruction is 25 hours.

How much does bartending school cost in Boston?
The DrinkMaster Professional Bartending Course is $375. Tuition includes all course materials and supplies, unlimited job coaching, resume building, interview prep, and unlimited free refresher classes after graduation. The optional TiPS Alcohol Certification add-on is $75. There are no hidden fees.

Where is DrinkMaster Bartending School located?
DrinkMaster operates two locations in Massachusetts. The Boston campus is at 108 Lincoln St, Unit BA, Boston, MA 02111, located on the lower level across from the South Station T stop. The Framingham campus is at 328 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01701, with free parking. Both locations offer the same Professional Bartending Course.
Accreditation
Is DrinkMaster a licensed bartending school?
Yes. DrinkMaster Bartending School is licensed by the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Licensure, Office of Private Occupational School Education. DrinkMaster has been Boston’s original bartending school since 1997, with over 100,000 graduates.

What will I learn in the bartending course?
Students learn built, stirred, and shaken cocktails; multi-liquor drinks including margaritas, martinis, and manhattans; craft cocktail techniques and flavor balance; spirits knowledge and production methods; beer and wine service; speed and volume bartending; bar operations, loss prevention, and quality control; guest interaction and service flow; and job-readiness skills including resume building, interview prep, and getting hired.
Job Placement
Do you help graduates get hired as bartenders?
Yes. DrinkMaster provides unlimited job placement assistance to all graduates, including resume building, interview preparation, cover letter coaching, and direct referrals to hundreds of bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and hotels across Boston and nationwide. Before interviews, instructors review the specific bar’s cocktail menu with the graduate to prepare them for the role.

What if I miss a class?
Missed classes can be made up at no cost in any subsequent course session. DrinkMaster also offers unlimited free refresher classes after graduation, with no expiration. Graduates can return years later to sharpen their skills at no additional charge.
Certification
Is TiPS Alcohol Certification included?
TiPS Alcohol Certification is an optional add-on at $75 per person. It is not included in the base $375 bartending course tuition. TiPS Certification is commonly required by venues, cities, and insurance companies in Massachusetts. DrinkMaster strongly recommends it, and Jason Rothe is a nationally certified TiPS instructor.
Policy
What is your refund policy?
DrinkMaster does not issue refunds for bartending classes already attended. Students who cannot complete their scheduled session may transfer to a future course at no additional charge. There is no expiration on course transfers.
Age Requirement
How old do I need to be to enroll?
Students must be 18 or older to enroll in the DrinkMaster Professional Bartending Course. 18 is also the minimum age to bartend in Massachusetts and most other states.

How do I sign up for bartending classes?

Course schedules are posted in two-week intervals throughout the year. New classes begin every other week in both Boston and Framingham locations.

No. DrinkMaster’s $375 Professional Bartending Course tuition covers all course materials and supplies, unlimited job coaching, resume building, interview prep, and unlimited free refresher classes. There are no surprise fees, no required upsells, and no fine print. The only optional add-on is TiPS Alcohol Certification at $75.
