What To Expect

Craft Cocktail Class Details

Discover the art of crafting exceptional cocktails — a hands-on evening built around flavor, technique, and the fascinating history of cocktail culture. Inside Boston’s Leather District speakeasy, 6–8pm.

01 — The Details

An Immersive Cocktail Making Experience

This hands-on experience features educational cocktail tastings, premium ingredients, and professional bar tools — led by seasoned craft cocktail mixologists inside our speakeasy-style venue in Boston’s Leather District.
This is more than just a class — it’s an immersive tasting experience focused on understanding balanced flavor profiles using sweet, sour, bitter, spice, and savory elements. You’ll work with pre-measured components to learn how each ingredient builds depth, structure, and harmony in a well-crafted drink.

We had a fantastic night taking the Craft Cocktails class. I was impressed with all of the techniques we learned using real ingredients. We tasted real, delicious cocktails. The instructors are very knowledgeable and made the course fun. The class is very hands-on. I would absolutely recommend it.

02 — Technique

Learn Craft Cocktail Techniques

Our professional mixologists guide you through building, shaking, stirring, and tasting your creations. You’ll master simple syrups, homemade bitters, freshly squeezed citrus, and crystal-clear bar ice — while diving into the fascinating history behind every ingredient and technique.
Each tasting is intentional and guided — you’ll build a drink, taste it, and learn how to adjust it. This trains your palate to identify balance and teaches you how to correct it with thoughtful adjustments.
When to use modifiers to add depth without overpowering the base spirit
How to adjust acidity or sweetness to highlight specific flavors
The importance of mouthfeel, dilution, and aroma in final presentation
The role of clear ice in controlling water content and preserving drink integrity

03 — Culture & Trivia

History, Trivia & Cocktail Culture

Interactive cocktail trivia and insights into the cultural and historical significance of ingredients round out every session — making this a full-spectrum learning experience that’s as entertaining as it is educational. Our instructors weave in cocktail history throughout the class, adding meaning and story to every drink you build.

If you want a lively and fun evening out, I highly recommend attending a mixology class at DrinkMaster. You’ll explore all aspects of making a cocktail — spirits, sweeteners, juices, and bitters. Well organized, highly energized, fun, and very entertaining.
